A third-year student at State University of New York, Albany (SUNY Albany), Albert Comas is pursuing Financial Analyst studies in the honors program. Coursework that he has completed includes Financial Accounting, Financial Statement Analysis, and Financial Management. Albert Comas has also participated in a month-long Financial Analyst Career Development Program which emphasized industry-specific technical training.
In tandem with his college studies, Mr. Comas has served as Administrative Assistant at New York City’s Wadsworth Medical Center since mid-2011. He has focused on improving the corporate bottom line through SWOT analysis, which involves targeted surveys and operations analysis. Through comprehensive expense analysis, he has identified supplies, payroll, and storage expenses from which the medical center was able to cut spending. These efforts have helped reduce unnecessary expenditures and driven a double-digit corporate revenue increase. He has also supervised the efforts of 13 Wadsworth Medical Center personnel in enhancing on-the-job productivity through use of online medical record databases. His professional experience extends to driving customer gains through the development of dynamic service plans that capture client interest.
Albert Comas has earned Dean’s List Status during the course of his studies at SUNY Albany and is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. He is proficient in both English and Spanish.
Mr. Comas maintains an active community presence and has participated in SUNY Albany campus cleanup events. He has also taken part in fundraisers such as Relay for Life and the Wounded Warrior Project’s Tough Mudder obstacle course race. As a founding member of his school’s Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Albert Comas has been directly responsible for raising $1,000 in volleyball event registration fees for the Livestrong Foundation.
